How long have you been teaching at Koç University Law School? And what brought you here?
Four years
What defines Koç University Law School? What is unique about it?
It is now the standard-setting Law Faculty in Turkey, with strong international links, and a diverse student base.
What is your daily routine as a professor?
When I am at the Faculty it’s very much office hours, followed by back to back teaching, with a lunch break to catch up with colleagues.

Investment Law and Arbitration, Public International Law
How do you support young lawyers at Koç University Law School?
In every way we can: office hours, extra-curricular activities, mooting master-classes, opportunities at law journals, career advice.
What do you value most about working at Koç University Law School?
Teaching.
What do you do in your leisure time?
I practise law as a barrister at 4 New Square Chambers in London.

Justice, authority, rights.
You are planning a law-free weekend on a desert island and you are allowed to take only three things with you. What would they be?
Keats' Selected Letters, a kite (of the surfing variety), Blue Mountain coffee.
Which advice would you like to give every young lawyer?
Remain patient and be aware that all the steps that you take to develop your interest in the subject will make you a much better, and more rounded, lawyer in due course. See the benefit of a wide-ranging expertise and do not rush towards narrow specialisation.
