How long have you been teaching at Allard? And what brought you here?
I’ve been teaching at Allard Law since 2017. Prior to that I was on faculty at the University of Victoria. I’m here because Allard Law is a global leader in research and teaching (ranked 16th in the world for the last two years in a row), with leading centres in business law, feminist legal studies, Asian legal studies, and environmental law. It’s an exciting place to be!
What defines Allard? What is unique about it?
Allard Law is a wonderful school which is committed to excellence in legal education and research. Allard is situated on traditional ancestral and unceded Musqueam lands in one of the most open, diverse, and beautiful places in the world. It is a joy to teach in an inspiring environment with such wonderful students and colleagues.

Contract Law, Business Organizations, Corporate Social Responsibility and the Law
What qualities do you look for in an LLM student? What kind of skills should applicants cultivate?
We look for driven, innovative students with a passion for their studies. Our LLM students are diverse in their interests, motivations and goals. It is always a pleasure to work with such a wide array of students. When looking at applicants for our graduate programs we look for academic and professional excellence, and a clear motivation to study Law at Allard.
